hi George,
thanks for the insights. I continually feel puzzled about many of our writers' goal in making money on medium. I'm not saying it is not possible, but the odds are clearly not in favor of them. there are too many factors that influence how 5% of the articles getting 95% of all views. It is driven to a point where the quality of the work might not affect the outcome as much as what we commonly expect.
DDI recognized this since long time ago, and we believe writers don't just write, but have something of a much higher value to offer (e.g. helping people in data science, blockchain, personal growth/coaching, startup/fundraising, legal, etc) don't you notice writers who write well on those subjects shouldn't expect to earn $25 bucks over 9 months? it just doesn't make sense.
This is why we built DDIChat for professionals to tap on to a sea of demands for their high-value services. for those who are interested to see how DDI will make it happen, check it out at https://app.ddichat.com and you can click on Expert Signup to join our movement. I bet with 100% certainty that, depending on how the project is executed, we will make our writers (and professionals) make more meaningful income via all apps developed by DDI. thanks again for your thoughts.
